The La Sportiva Miura XX is a signature edition of the high performance, all-round, versatile Miura climbing shoe.
Initially available as a limited time offer (although we suspect if demand dictates the shoe will remain in the range), the XX has been built as a celebration of the twentieth anniversary of the classic La Sportiva Miura Lace and Adam Ondra, the athlete who has helped its evolution. Precise, firm and structured as always, with the added advantage of the P3 platform and an improved heel design.
The P3 System (Permanent Power Platform) provides increased performance and helps the climbing shoe hold its shape over its lifespan. The Vibram XS Edge sole is unalterable and as durable and grippy as ever, providing maximum support on technical edging.
Worn tight the Miura has a slightly downturned toe for performance on steep rock. Worn slacker many people find the Miura to be superbly comfortable and ideal for long mountain rock routes. The Miura has a reasonably stiff sole making it a great on edges. The pointed toe also makes it a great choice for pocketed limestone, although climbers with a wide forefoot may find it uncomfortable.
Overall if the fit is right then the Miura is an awesome shoe for those operating in the mid to (very) high grades, particularly on limestone, granite and volcanic rock.
